Ballistic Delivery System Success China Feb 2012
Guardian are delighted to announce that we have just delivered and commissioned our second set of Ballistic Delivery System tools, including our latest Orientated Perforating and Gun Brake technologies, to CNPC and SINOPEC, which will be used for the development of their Shale Gas reserves. We would like to thank both companies for their trust and look forward to a long prosperous relationship with them and their other companies.

Permian Basin Oil Show 2010

From the 19th to the 21st of October 2010, Guardian Global Technologies were exhibiting at the Permian Basin Oil Show in Odessa, Texas.

Adam Green (Training and Commissioning Engineer) and Lawrence Till (Sales Engineer) travelled out to Odessa where they met up with representatives from Titan Specialties with whom they were sharing a stand.

Guardian displayed a number of tools on the stand including an ART-H, MPP-B, IDC-B, PSJ-C and Production Logging Tools including the GCT and CFF.

Over the 3 days of the show, Guardian demonstrated the equipment to clients old and new, gaining a favourable response from interested parties.

When the event was over, the Guardian personnel followed up with interested clients by visiting their facilities in Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston to give more detailed presentations and demonstrations of the equipment, allowing the clients to gain some hands on experience.

Guardian Global Technologies would like to thank all the visitors to our booth and to those who showed an interest in our product range.

Guardian Sponsor International Perforating Symposi

Guardian are pleased to announce that they are one of the sponsors at the upcoming 2011 Asia-Pacific Perforating Symposium on April 6-7, 2011  at the Nikko Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Due to the success of the 2010 International Perforating Symposium held in North America, an Asia-Pacific organizing committee has formed to hold a regional symposium early 2011. The two-day Perforating Symposium will focus on innovation and "new" technology and feature forum session presentations with speakers and session chairmen from the operator, service provider, manufacturing and software communities. There will also be a poster session followed by a reception to provide opportunity to network throughout the regional perforating community. New Voltage Sensing Switch

New Chinese Agent Appointed

Guardian have today appointed Mr Fan Chunsheng as their exclusive agent for China.  Mr Chunsheng brings with him many years experience in supplying high quality oilfield products into the Chinese market and a proud history of providing an exceptional after sales service that is critical with high technologies.

Office Expansion Complete

7th June 2010

Guardian has completed the development of an additional 5,000 sq ft of office space in their Merlin House facility in Pyle, South Wales.  This was needed to accommodate the growth in sales, design and assembly departments required to support the year on year growth that the company has experienced in the last 36 months.

This expansion is the first phase in a 2 year, 3 phase expansion plan with the next stage being a new design and manufacturing complex which is expected to be completed within the next 9 months.

Lawrence Till has joined Guardian from Schlumberger as a Sales Engineer based in the head office in Pyle, South Wales.  Lawrence brings with him many years of offshore experience and is a valuable addition to the sales team.  He will help ensure that as Guardian grows clients will still recieve the same high level of service and support that they both deserve and have become accustomed to.

Guardian & Titan Sign Distribution Agreement

13th October 2009

Guardian and Titan Specialties and Global have signed agreements to distribute and provide maintenance services for each company’s cased hole logging product lines. Titan will be a distributor for Guardian products in North and South America, and Guardian will be a distributor for Titan’s cased hole logging products in the Eastern hemisphere.

Ken Babcock, CEO of Titan, and Iain Maxted, Managing Director of Global Guardian, agreed that this is the beginning of a winning relationship between companies that have complementary product lines.

Guardian Acquire Local Machine Shop

28th June 2010

In order to strengthen our manufacturing capability and maintain short delivery times Guardian has acquired a local machine shop.  This adds a further 6 machines to the existing 14 which include various CNC mills, lathes and spark eroders.

Keeping the manufacturing in house is part of Guardian's key strategy to ensure that we have complete control over quality and that low volume items required by clients can be manufactured promptly.  This is also key in the rapid prototyping and development programs that are required to meet client deadlines.

Guardian Appoint China Area Manager

Guardian is pleased to announce that Mr Fan Chunsheng has joined Guardian as China Area Manager.

Fan has worked as a field engineer for both national and international logging companies during his career while at Schlumberger and Shengli Well Logging Company.  Manufacturing experience was gained while working for ASEP/Elmar as their sole sales and technical support representative. 

We are confident that Fan’s extensive experience will significantly strengthen the support that Guardian can offer it’s Chinese clients.  Hence we are delighted to welcome Fan to the company and look forward to exciting times ahead.

Offshore Europe - Aberdeen

The recent Offshore Europe event in Aberdeen was another very successful show for Guardian with many old and several potential new clients visiting our stand.  The stand staff would like to thank all those who visited us and our sales staff will be following up with all our visitors in teh coming days and weeks.

Our next show is the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans and we look forward to seeing many of you there.

New Sales and Marketing Director joins Guardian

Guardian is delighted to welcome John McGrath to the team as our Director of Sales & Marketing.  John has worked in the logging industry for over 20 years for several major service companies, spending his initial years as a field engineer running the full range of open and cased hole tools.  After working in the field for many years John developed his career in a wide range of management roles including Operations, Marketing and Product Development within a number of service companies as well as Sales & Marketing roles for manufacturing companies.  John will be based primarily in Aberdeen, and his addition to the team will significantly increase our ability to respond rapidly to our clients needs.
