Guardian is a small but rapidly expanding business with an international client-base offering perhaps one of the most challenging positions in Wales. Guardian designs and manufactures a range of high-precision, electro-mechanical sensing instrumentation for use in the oil and gas industry. We are seeking experienced Electronics Technicians to assemble and test the high-tech instruments and systems to the required Guardian and industry standards.

Guardian is driving through significant growth over the next few years and the role is considered critical in order to meet the planned growth of 400% T/O increase over the next 5 years.

The purpose of this role is to carry out precision mechanical design drafting activities and assist the design engineers and project engineers in the design and development of high-precision, high temperature electro-mechanical instrumentation for use in oil and gas wells.

The purpose of this role is to provide electronic engineering expertise for the design, development and support, from cradle to grave, of high-precision, high-temperature electro-mechanical instrumentation for use in oil and gas well data acquisition covering aspects such as telemetry and data bus system design, sensor interfacing, embedded digital hardware design and power regulation/power supply design.

We are seeking a PCB Assembly Technician to work on low volume (1-20) hand assembly of high-temperature circuit boards. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the consistent assembly of through-hole and surface mount devices to 0.025” pitch.  Quality of workmanship, proven experience and reliability are vital as these boards are used in probably the harshest environment on earth.  Experience in working with high-temperature solders (Sn96, Sn05) would be an advantage, but not essential.

Guardian are currently seeking an experienced Operations manager to fill a new role which has evolved as a result of major growth within the organisation; this is considered a key role that will have a significant impact on the medium to long-term growth of the business.

The purpose of this role is to build on the existing platform and develop further a specialist technical database system, G-Force, used to control many aspects of Guardian’s operations and engineering functions.

The overall purpose of this role is to grow Guardian business in the North America region (including Canada) by client base and promoting new products to existing clients. This will require extensive travel throughout North America. The role will support existing clients in North America and South America, develop and implement effective sales strategy for North America and manage sales process from initial contact, quoting, invoicing, delivery and training.
